Getting started with DOIs

Hello,
I have published the first issue of my journal today and assigned DOIs with the following structure https://dx.doi.org/10.2525/jcsll.v.1n.1.2020 P.1

But I don’t know what is wrong that its paper couldn’t be found.

I was wondering if you could advise.

Thank you

Regards,
Ruzbeh

Hi pmangahis

Thank you for your reply. No I have not registered with an agency. I have assumed by activating DOI plug in, and assigning a DOI to each paper, they are automatically included. Could you please guide me what should I do?

Best regrads,
Ruzbeh

Hi @rbabaei30,

Thanks for confirming. DOIs will need to be registered with one a registration agency in order for them to work.

To help get you started, I would recommend looking at the following resources we have available:

Using DOIs and the DOI Plugin
Crossref | OJS 3.1.2+ Manual

Dear pmangahis
Thank you for your answer.
May I know if it is free of charge to register DOIs with an agency like crossref?

Best regards,
Ruzbeh

Hi @rbabaei30,

Crossref operates on a fee-based operating model. PKP does offer Crossref sponsorship for Organizations from the following countries (who are in the Low Income Country category, or in the Low & Middle Income country list and whose GNI per capita is up to $1,500) may be eligible for sponsorship.

For more information regarding this, please see https://pkp.sfu.ca/crossref/ or contact us at support@publicknowledgeproject.org.

I would recommend doing a bit of research on the other organizations to see if they fit your needs.

Kind Regards,

Dear pmangahis,

Thank you so much. I will be searching and if any questions, will contact your email address.

Best regards,
Ruzbeh
