Dear all,
we want to share our ideas concerning extending Open Journal Systems with geo metadata. The goal is to develop a plug-in that allows to link an article to a location(s). This means that either by the authors input in form of a bounding box or a point of view during submission process or by text recognition of the article, the location is defined and finally displayed on a map in the article view. After this first step, the storage of geo metadata, a kind of discovery is also considered, where in the article view further articles are linked to the same location.
