Is there a free alternative for Typeset.io software? To automatically typeset a pdf for a journal.

Can you describe in more details the functionality of the tool(s) that you are looking for?
I’m using texture editor that also has a plugin for ojs. It has some problems regarding footnotes. The graphics must be added using the plugin. But it produces a decent markup file and works fine with the Jats parser plugin.
