I’m partly responsible for maintaining some of PKP’s infrastructure, including the forum. I wanted to briefly acknowledge the downtime starting yesterday morning and going through until this morning.
Apologies - our monitoring went off, but I was not paying attention to email.
The problem turned out to be on the weekly software update/rebuild: Discourse made some changes integrating plugins into the base software package. It happened last week as well, but apparently the same problem triggered with a couple different plugins this week.
I’ll try to watch it a little more closely next week, and maybe move the update to Monday mornings so the possible window of downtime is smaller.
