Export Reviewer List by Date Range

Describe the problem you would like to solve
Currently in OJS, the system allows downloading the complete list of reviewers in one click from the reviewer statistics/export section. However, this export includes all reviewers in the system without any option to filter by a specific time period.

For journal editorial and administrative purposes, we often need a list of reviewers who completed reviews within a specific date range. For example, when preparing the acknowledgement section for the journal issue or annual report, editors may need the list of reviewers who completed reviews between January 2025 and December 2025.

Since the current export provides the full list only, editors must manually filter the data, which is time-consuming and inefficient, especially for journals with a large number of reviewers.

Describe the solution you’d like
It would be very helpful if OJS could provide a date range filter when exporting the reviewer list.

For example:

  • Add Start Date and End Date fields in the reviewer statistics/export section.
  • Allow exporting reviewers based on review completion date.
  • The exported list should include reviewers who completed reviews within the selected date range.

Example use case: If the editor selects:
Start Date: 01 January 2025
End Date: 31 December 2025

The system should export a list of reviewers who completed at least one review during this period.

This feature would significantly simplify preparing the annual reviewer acknowledgement list for journal issues.
Who is asking for this feature?

  • Journal Editors
  • Managing Editors
  • Journal Administrators

Editorial Office staff responsible for preparing reviewer acknowledgement lists and annual reports.

Additional information
Many journals publish a reviewer acknowledgement list annually or per volume. Currently, extracting reviewers for a specific year requires manual filtering after downloading the entire reviewer dataset.

A built-in date range filter would improve workflow efficiency and reduce manual work for editorial teams managing large reviewer databases.
