In 3.4 we are working on improvements to the email selection, draft and preview workflow, which would include the ability to add CC/BCC. However, we won’t be able to implement this for all emails in 3.4. We hope to support all email sending eventually, but 3.4 will probably only support discussions and maybe editor decisions.

**Describe the problem you would like to solve**
Throughout the workflow users … take actions which result in emails. In most cases, the user has a chance to select an email template and draft the email that is sent. Users have requested a number of improvements to this that suggest a redesign is in order. These include:
- #2180 Users want to see the final email before sending it, with any preconfigured variables rendered.
- #743 Support for CC and BCC.
- #4834 One-click or similar to BCC all reviewers on editor decision emails
- Support preconfigured variables in the subject as well as the body of the email.
- #3193 Allow custom templates to be available in more places, and the ability to search and find the template the user wants to use for any event.

**Describe the solution you'd like**
A new email sending UI that can be rolled out wherever the user performs an action that results in an email. It should show the rendered email, allow templates to be discovered and selected, support To/CC/BCC, and use the recipient's working language.

Our community of editors and editorial assistants.
