Book available in different contexts

Describe the problem you would like to solve
I have an installation of OMP 3.3.0-8 with different presses, I’ll call them abc and xyz.
When I publish a book in abc, it becomes available for example at:
www.domain.net/index.php/abc/catalog/book/110

If you edit the URL above and you change manually the path press, the same book will be shown in xyz!
www.domain.net/index.php/xyz/catalog/book/110

I guess it’s not a desired behaviour by OMP.

Describe the solution you’d like
I don’t know how to edit php code, but I know that something similar is impossible in OJS.

If you edit an article url index.php/abc/article/view/55 with a different journal path, it results in a Err 404.
If you edit an issue url index.php/abc/issue/view/8 in the same way, you obtain a message “Invalid issue requested!”.

OMP should be much more similar to OJS in this case.

Who is asking for this feature?
Editors and Series Managers.

Thank you for your time!
Please let me know if it was a known bug, I can’t try it on newer installation at the moment.

Michele

Hi @Michevole,

This is already filed/fixed:

There is a patch you can apply linked in the issue; when we release OMP 3.3.0-14, the fix will be included.

Hello @asmecher,

thank you very much and sorry for this topic. I searched on PKP forum before posting and I didn’t find anything. I forgot to look at github too, my fault.

I’ll fix it. Have a nice day,
Michele
