550 Message rejected. mydomain is not currently owned by sender

Hello,

does anyone have experience with setting up SMTP on an hosting (I’m on SiteGround) with a domain you own (not provided by your hosting)? I am having trouble sending emails (for example using the user → email function from the dashboard) as I have the following message in my log:

got code "550", with message "550 Message rejected. mydomain is not currently owned by sender"

Now, note that the domain in mydomain above is the domain of the ‘to’ address in the OMP dashboard → email form. I am sending with an email address I control, with the correct settings. Also, I have turned the envelope option on.

Would you mind noting which version of OMP you’re working with (e.g. 3.3.0-13), as this assists others who may be helping to troubleshoot.

It’s the latest version 3.4.0-7.

It was an issue with the configuration, and it had nothing to do with the software itself.
