Has Open Journal System v.3.4 discontinued the use of Oracle Database, or will it return in future releases?

In order to update our Journal Portal to the next versions, we need OJS to continue to be compatible with Oracle Database
Who is asking for this feature?
Journal Administrators, Technical Support, etc.

Hi @flaminio.rangel,
OJS has never formally supported the Oracle DBMS – only PostgreSQL, MySQL, and MariaDB. (MySQL is owned by Oracle now, but that’s different than the Oracle DBMS.) It’s unlikely it would ever have worked without some modifications. Are you absolutely sure you were using Oracle DBMS before?
