In our magazine we want to offer the articles in XML format.
By having Lens activated the XML can be displayed. Is there a way for the XML to be displayed and also downloadable? On the other hand … Does Lens influence the automatic indexing of XML files in databases that automatically extract the content of our magazine? Can they still extract the XML content even if we have LENS enabled?

The Lens Reader software that OJS’s plugin depends on is deprecated and I would suggest looking at other approaches – for example, GitHub - Vitaliy-1/JATSParserPlugin: OJS3 Plugin for parsing JATS XML and displaying it on article detail page.
