Why isn't Google Scholar indexing my journal?

I have a general question if i make Dspace repository and index our alll journals still I will not be able to index our papers in Google scholar?

We’re currently experiencing this issue ourselves. As of April 2nd, everything was still normal. However, today when we searched on Google Scholar, we found that the most recent indexed article was from 57 days ago.

But on April 2nd, I was still able to see many articles from March and April that had been indexed by Google Scholar. It seems like today, Google Scholar removed all the articles that had been indexed over the past two months.

Yes, it will work, but I believe it’s only a short-term solution. I’m considering building a custom repository website where publishers can share their articles and have them indexed by Google Scholar. Currently, OJS isn’t able to fully address this issue — although it’s important to note that the problem doesn’t lie with OJS itself.

I have good experience with dspace if we make a dspace account for a publisher (or institution) and index all content in the repository this can work.
If anyone knows how to creat space repo please let me know

DSpace won’t be the solution here, because GS would link to it and not to the original journal articles.

Bacily Dspace will index your articles, but not directly from your journal website.

Dear all
any update about Google Scholar indexing issue
what are possible solutions?

I believe Google Scholar has blocked the journal in question, and we don’t know how to appeal the decision.

I was wondering if it’s possible to create a new domain that redirects to our journal, a mirroring, and let Google Scholar crawl the new address?

For example:

Original journal: www.journals.com (blocked)
New mirror: index-journals.com (mirror of www.journals.com)

Is this possible?

After six months, I want to share some observations. The issue is not with OJS. I was working on a custom website, https://oralsphere.com. Initially, it was built on OJS, and the site was hacked. After that, I created a custom website design and implemented all the necessary Google Scholar tags. Now, Google Scholar is successfully indexing the site.

Google Scholar Tags

Articles are getting indexed

I believe that if a website gets hacked, it might send negative signals to Google Scholar, although I am not entirely certain. For reference, I have attached a screenshot for proof.

Additionally, one important point I have learned is not to change your article URLs frequently, as this can lead to de-indexing in Google Scholar. According to Google’s algorithms, if the same content appears at multiple URLs, it may negatively affect indexing.

When your site got hacked they inject a script in the index.php file in the root of ojs folder.

Then they delete the google search index authenticator file and upload their own google search console authenticator file.

Then in google search console they hijack your domain and become the owner.

Thats why all content cannot be index.

You are right, but this is not the case in every situation, as some journal websites are being de-indexed by Google Scholar even without being hacked.

So what is the solution for journals previosuly indexed in Google Scholar and disappeared?
