Is there an alternative to archiving papers which site on the dashboard’s submissions list for months because the authors are still preparing a resubmission?
I have tried declining some with a kind note saying we will bring the submission out of the archive when they are ready to resubmit but this risks duplication and loss of previous reviews.
I would like to have a folder to put these long term papers so I can see just the papers which are lively.
Current version: 3.3.0.22 (June 14, 2026 - 09:06 PM)
Could you assign a review decision of “Request Revisions” and then have them re-submit when they are ready? That would still keep it in the queue.
And, also, just a quick note that the 3.3 branch will be maintained for the next year, so it’s also important to start considering an upgrade to 3.5, which is the newest LTS (long-term support) branch.
Hallo Roger @rcgillis Yes we do the Request Revisions but I want a shorter queue so I don’t always have to remember or find out what the state of play is with each submission.
Am looking into the upgrade. Thank you for the nudge.
