Can you tell me if replacing a PDF in OJS will reset the counter stats for the downloads of that soon-to-be-replaced PDF? (we need to correct the current PDFs for two issues of a journal but really rely on the accumulated download data!)

Replacing a PDF within a galley will not reset the statistics. Deleting a galley, and adding a new galley to replace it will disconnect the current statistics from the old galley. The old statistics for the deleted galley remain in the metrics database table, so I suspect they will still be reportable, but obviously they won’t display in the Views column for the new galley. I also suspect these metrics will be lost if the logs are re-processed into statistics in the future.
