Website Language Change in OJS

Hello Guys
When we change the language (from English to French for example) in the language box (plugin) the language stays unchanged. If we visit another page from the menu that was not used before (in the last few hours) the language there is the new one (French). If we go back to the first page the language there is still not changed (English). If we wait for some time (a few hours) the language will be changed on the first page also (French). Seems like some caching, but we are not sure what to change. We are using version OJS 3.1.2.1
Any thougts?

Hi @Jovan_Shopovski,

Please note, the version of OJS that you’re using is no longer supported by PKP. I recommend that you upgrade to the newest version of OJS, as it is possible that your issue will be resolved by upgrading. However, other community members may wish to offer assistance.

Thanks. Were there maybe any similar discussions and issues so far?

Maybe you need clear the catch in admin Panel ?

Did you try it? It seems like that but does not work

Should we try to OJS own cache or it is through the cpanel?

Do you support the 3.2.1.4
We have managed to upgrade to that one but still have the same problem with the language.

Hi @Jovan_Shopovski,

Yes - we support 3.2 - it’s good that you upgraded. You could also try clearing the caches, as was mentioned. You can do that in OJS - see here: Learning Open Journal Systems 3.3 - Site Administration. If that doesn’t work a good next step would be to check your php error logs and report back here on any relevant issues.

We did this with cache clearing but still, the same issue is appearing. Any ideas what can be the problem?

Hi @Jovan_Shopovski,

No - sorry - I’m out of ideas. But, if you try this and then check your PHP error log - and then paste the output here, that might provide some indication of what is happening.
