Visual element for OJS 3.4 designed with CodePen.io

Dear OJS community,

I want to share with you a small element that I have developed to improve the visual experience in academic journal platforms. It is a carousel of journals that shows various previously published issues, including a redirect button to the archives or publications in OJS. This carousel has been designed and customized using CodePen.io, and I have adapted its functionality to integrate it efficiently in academic environments.

The carousel not only improves the visual presentation of the journals, but also facilitates direct access to the published content, optimizing navigation for users.

In addition, I share with you the link to our recently updated journals and serials portal, which uses a custom CSS template that enhances the user’s visual experience with the journals or magazines.

If you are interested in implementing this add-on in your platforms, you can access the source code and dataset of the resource through the following links:

Carousel code: Gutierrez, Kevin (2024). Carrusel-de-revistas-rrcsh. figshare. Software. https://doi.org/10.6084/m9.figshare.27098404.v2
Captura de pantalla 2025-04-01 101609

Journals portal: revistas.uca.edu.sv
Captura de pantalla 2025-04-01 101659

I hope this resource will be useful for those who are looking to improve the interface and functionality of their OJS platforms. I remain at your disposal for any further consultation or collaboration.

Best regards,
