Hello,
is it possible to use only the part OJS for submitting and reviewing articles, not putting them online? We’ve already developed the site for viewing articles, so if we just leave the viewing article part of OJS empty it will only confuse the authors. Having the links redirecting to our existing site instead of showing empty pages with “current” and “archive” issues would be great.

See Settings > Distribution > Access to turn off the publishing front end. I’m not sure this will do exactly what you want, so it may be necessary to tweak some additional bits and pieces via a child theme, or template modifications, or CSS.
