The OJS files in the directory were deleted, but the database is still present. How can you recover your old OJS portal? Kindly @rcgillis guide me
Hi @Sajjad_Haider,
Did you have a backup of them from anywhere? If so, restoring them from backup might be a good option. If not, I’m not sure what else to recommend.

Unfortunately I’m not take backup of ojs files
Hi @Sajjad_Haider,
Sorry, I don’t think I can be of much help. Having a backup strategy is a must for running OJS. If you have access to a systems administrator through your web host who can help investigate, that might be something you wish to pursue.

If any of the magazines were preserved on PKP PN or another preservation network, it is possible to recover them, at least in parts.
Alternatively, you can check if you can find content from this portal at
https://web.archive.org/
Finally, your IT team can check whether they can recover files, depending on what scenario they are dealing with. A path that I imagine is quite uncertain.
Hey @rcgillis
How I transfer Journal OJS from one domain to another. Like
https://ojs.abc/index.php/home/index to https://ojs.cde.com/index.php/home/index
please guide me…
Hi @Sajjad_Haider,
Are you moving servers? If so, see here for some advice: Server migration to another
If not, and you’re just configuring domain names - you may wish to consult with your web hosting to determine how to switch domain names to point to your new site. How it is done will vary from one webhost to the next, so I can’t give specific advice, unfortunately.

Hey @rcgillis
If I create a OJS for a journal and create multiple ojs in it this way better? or should I create subdomain for different different journal and create OJS in it? which come consider in good practice. Also guide me about pro’s and con’s of this two method
