Support installing a journal on OJS

can anyone provide support installing a journal on OJS to understand the editorial workflow and email template settings.
We can connect on teamviewer/anydesk

Hi there,

PKP develops significant resources for the users of our software. There are a number of options available for you to test things out, including paying for consultation if necessary.

Documentation is available on our web site that will guide you through the installation, configuration, and operation of the software: https://pkp.sfu.ca/pkp-software-documentation/ojs-documentation/

Online training modules, including video tutorials, are available at our PKP School: http://pkpschool.sfu.ca

You can also take OJS out for a test drive on our server to become more familiar with how it operates:
https://demo.publicknowledgeproject.org/ojs3/testdrive/

The login is “admin” and the password is “testdrive”. This installation will be regularly purged of all data, so please do not use it for anything other than making a short-term evaluation of the software.

Finally, we are available for professional consultation and training support, and can arrange for phone or video calls, or online or in-person training as required. For further information and rates, please send a request to support@publicknowledgeproject.org.

Thanks!
James

Regarding the https://demo.publicknowledgeproject.org/ testdrive site, is there any way to know what version of software that is on?

Hi Wilhelmina,

The easiest way to tell (for any OJS install) is to View Page Source and look for the “generator” meta tag in the HTML header. This one lists the demo as OJS 3.2.0.0.

Cheers,
James
