Submission Fee in OJS 3.0

Hi! I just upgraded our journal from OJS 2.4.6 to 3.0, and I was wondering if there is going to be a plugin to add submission fees (if there is and I missed it, I apologize, but I couldn’t find it). I’ve set up the paypal information under the distribution tab, but it would be great to be able to add the option during the submission workflow.

Hi @Brad_Barnhorst,

OJS 3.0 doesn’t yet support subscriptions or payments – that’s currently scheduled for the OJS 3.1 release.

Could you share a list of features that are in OJS 2.4.8 but not yet in OJS 3.0? Also, do you have a timeline for OJS 3.1?

Have a look at Getting Ready for OJS 3.0: When Should I Upgrade?

There isn’t a comprehensive list of features that are not available for 3.0 yet, but the highest-priority ones are payments and subscriptions, and the QuickSubmit plugin (the latter of which is almost complete). Additionally, the set of complete translations available for 3.0 is not as big.
