Users with role “Associate Editor” or “guest editor” do not see an option to assign a reviewer or send an item for review, even though the review permission has been selected in the “Roles”?
The only role available with allows them to review is “Editor in Chief”. This journal does not appear to have what I believe is a default role “journal editor” and one which JMs say, cannot select to ‘remove’ under “roles” - edit → remove…
For these journal eds to be able to push an item to reviewers I have had to ask them to make anyone with the a workflow step editor- to be made “Editor in chief”.
