In OJS 3.5 on step 01 abstract is required field but if it is left empty then it does not show required error, instead it show error in last step how we can fix it.

Perhaps you could provide a screenshot of the error? Do you have the abstract as a required field in your section settings?

When clicked on continue button, it does not show validation of mandatory field; it should say abstract is required. Instead, it moves to next step

Yes, it is feasible to move to the next step, but later in the Review and Submit step, it will flag these fields for the submitted to rectify prior to submitting:
