Request for Permanent Deletion of Paper in Production Due to Research Misconduct

Hello,

We had previously published a paper that was later unpublished after identifying research misconduct in the work. However, the article still appears to be in the production stage within the system.

We would like to know how to permanently remove or delete the paper from production and ensure it does not appear in any online records or databases.

Has anyone experienced a similar situation or can guide us on the correct procedure to follow for a complete removal at this stage?

Thank you in advance for your help and guidance.

Best regards,
Yasir Akbar

Hi @Pmhjournal,

What version of OJS are you running (e.g., 3.3.0-18)?

Currantly we are using OJS 3.5.

Hi @Pmhjournal,

This can be done via the CLI (you may need a systems administrator’s help with this) . Please see this post here: How to remove or delete article

Just an FYI: in the case of retraction, outright deleting the paper isn’t always recommended. I’d encourage you to check out the COPE Retraction guidelines.
