Not really, just to be able to send what you put inside “References”. A number of databases are asking us for that part. Then they could just handle this data on their side.

We would need to remain compliant with the standards we’re using for metadata, so we wouldn’t be able to simply add it arbitrarily. Your databases will probably have a few standard mechanisms that might be useful to suggest here.

NLM schema would be fine.

Hi @piotreba,

Have you worked with the NLM support built into OJS 2.4.x via OAI? It’s not particularly complete.

I would suggest keeping an eye on the PKP Open Typesetting Stack, which will be entering testing fairly soon. It’ll take care of converting documents to NLM XML, and with that available, it should lead to improvements in our other applications including a higher quality of NLM XML being available via OAI from OJS.
