I’m looking into hosting providers for a small journal that has very limited funding. I’m willing to set OJS up myself and maintain it. But I need to know the exact requirements, that I need to look for in hosting providers. Previously, people have asked this question and not gotten any answer, so I am once again asking now, since the usual answer to hosting is to use OJS dedicated hosting providers. However, I am obviously not able to afford it.

PKP does provide hosting services. Please note that this is not an advertisement or endorsement, just a statement, as advertising goes against our forum guidelines. But I presume you’ve already looked into our hosting services and that they may not suit your budget.

If you are searching for a host for your journal, I would encourage you to do a web search and then search for an appropriate host, bearing the considerations laid out in our documentation in mind. Some hosts are active here on the forum, but due to us not allowing advertising and remaining neutral in not recommending specific hosts, they might be difficult to pinpoint. We encourage people seeking hosting to do their own research and select hosts (or self-host) appropriate to their budget and circumstances.
