Problems related to Google Indexing (meta description)

Hello,

I was helping a client that has OJS installed, but all the links from the OJS are indexed in Google with japanese characteres on the meta-description tag.

Live example: site:Revista Eletrônica Estudos Hegelianos

Anyone can guide me where the documentation of the OJS about meta-description of each publication?

Thanks

Hi @Dennis_Altermann,

Can you post a screenshot of the problem, and ideally a link? I tried searching Google and Google Scholar for problem content but didn’t see anything immediately.

Sorry for the delay. Below you can find a screenshot of the problem.

You can access it here:
https://www.google.com/search?ei=UK0eW-zbKsPJjwS1hYDoBA&q=site%3Ahttp%3A%2F%2Fojs.hegelbrasil.org%2Findex.php%2Freh&oq=site%3A&gs_l=psy-ab.3.1.35i39k1l2j0i67k1l4j0i203k1j0i67k1l2j0i203k1.1600.2057.0.4211.5.5.0.0.0.0.338.338.3-1.1.0....0...1c..64.psy-ab..4.1.337....0.jrLilViM0zA

This is the original link for the OJS installation:
http://ojs.hegelbrasil.org/index.php/reh/

As you can see on the image, it has been indexed several japanese characteres, even that the website is in portuguese/english

Hi @Dennis_Altermann,

I suspect there is some malware on that site. You might not be able to see it for yourself because malware that targets search engines might present different content to you vs. to Google. I would suggest using a tool like diff to thoroughly review the differences between your installation and the .tar.gz source; also make sure that the installation follows the practices recommended in docs/README, in particular regarding the files directory (which should not be web-accessible).

Great, thanks. I will take a look and check it.
