Position of PDF button (or any other full-text button) for mobile device

Describe the problem you would like to solve
On mobile devices, the PDF button is displayed at the bottom of the articles’ metadata page. When you read an article from a mobile device it is not so intuitive that you have to scroll all the page to find the full-text, especially if the References field is filled in.
See for example https://riviste.unimi.it/index.php/schermi/article/view/25394 from your mobile.

Describe the solution you’d like
It would be better to move the button for full-text to the top of the page

Hello @rossella.filadoro
I see what you mean, and I agree that the PDF button is “hidden” when accessing the journal using a mobile device. However, just moving the PDF button to the top may create an interaction issue since many people use it in single-hand mode. Given that currently we have access to larger screen, we might need to think what is the more accessible location to the more important elements in the page.

This is a research showing how the element location in a page using mobile may affect the usability of it: https://www.lukew.com/ff/entry.asp?1927

Also, we could start to think on a theme that might increase accessibility to mobiles while keeping the same level of interaction for non-mobile devices. See the screenshot with an approach for mobile screens:

Maybe, we can’t get it with the current default theme, but developing a new one from scratch and covering this request.

Best,
Israel
