PKP PN Plugin missing from Plugin Gallery in OJS 3.5.0.4 Version

Hi PKP Community,

I am currently running OJS version 3.5.0.4 for our journal website.

We are working on preparing our journal for DOAJ indexing and need to enable the PKP Preservation Network (PKP PN) / LOCKSS plugin for long-term digital preservation.

However, we are facing an issue where the PKP PN plugin is not appearing in the Plugin Gallery at all. We have checked both the “Installed” and “Available” tabs, but it is completely missing.

Could someone please guide us on:

  1. Is the PKP PN plugin currently compatible with/released for OJS 3.5.0.4?

  2. If it is not yet available via the Plugin Gallery for this specific version, is there a stable release on GitHub that we can manually upload and install?

  3. Are there any specific server requirements or PHP settings we need to verify to make it visible in the gallery?

Any assistance, documentation, or workarounds from the community or the PKP support team would be highly appreciated.

Hi @inaya,

As of right now, PKP PN plugin is only presently available in a pre-release version for OJS 3.5:

You may be able to install it manually, but, as it is noted in the release notes linked to above, it is still considered experimental and use-at-your-own-risk.

I suspect that, in the coming months it will be further tested, and something more stable will come out, which would then be available through the plugin gallery.

The official release will happen soon, then you can install from the plugin gallery in case you still didn’t install it.
