Hi, @jonasraoni, @asmecher
I have a journal in OJS 3.4.0.7 and I activated the PKP PN plugin almost two months ago, but I keep getting the message “The PKP PLN does not know about this journal yet.” My journal’s URL is https://revistacienciasyhumanidades.com/. What can I do?
Hi @jonasraoni,
But I check and see the same error: “The PKP PLN does not know about this journal yet.” It seems like it will work properly. I’ve checked and I don’t see that my articles are being deposited normally.
Hi!
That’s odd, on our side everything is ok, and this plugin version shouldn’t have as many problems as the older ones, I did a bunch of fixes
Can you take a look at the error log to see if there’s something suspect? The plugin should attempt to deposit issues once per day.
Best,
Jonas Raoni
Hi @jonasraoni,
Where can I see the record of those errors, if there are any?
There’s a log which is written by the plugin at the {$files_dir}/scheduledTaskLogs (it should start with PKPPNDepositorTask or something like that), you can take a look at the most recent file (from today/yesterday).
You also can take a look at the server’s error log file, in case something went wrong and the plugin failed to write the logs.
Best,
Jonas Raoni
Hi @jonasraoni,
This is what it shows me in the logs.

Hmm, looks like your server is unable to contact the PKP PN host, you’ll have to investigate what’s happening
Your server should be able to do HTTP requests against this domain https://pkp-pn.lib.sfu.ca

Hi @jonasraoni, thank you for your reply!
I’ve verified the server connectivity and it seems to work fine:
-
cURL requests to https://pkp-pn.lib.sfu.ca/ return a 200 status (HTML “Welcome” page).
-
HTTPS works correctly and the server can resolve the domain without DNS issues.
-
However, when I request https://pkp-pn.lib.sfu.ca/api/v1/service-document, it returns 404 Not Found, so the plugin receives HTML instead of the expected JSON.
Our OJS installation can reach the host but can’t retrieve the service document from the PKP PN API endpoint.
Could you please confirm if the /api/v1/service-document endpoint has changed or if the PKP PN service is currently under maintenance?
Thanks a lot for your help!
Hi!
From where did you take this URL? This is not the URL that should be requested for this “service document”, it should be http://pkp-pn.lib.sfu.ca/api/sword/2.0/sd-iri
