Performance Issues / freezes in backend after upgrade from OJS 3.1.1.4 to 3.2.0

Hello,
I have recently upgraded a Journal I am working on to OJS 3.2.0. The version before was 3.1.1.4 and worked normally, to my knowledge.
I upgraded the journal as per the instructions, extracting the tar file into a new folder, copying over the config.inc.php, and the public/ folder, changing “Installed” to “off” and following the steps online. I have done this a few times for other installations and haven’t found any difference in the process.

After the upgrade, the website is prone to freezes when working in the backend. Specifically in the “Website”->“Appearance” tabs, playing around with the elements on the page, especially the “sidebar” element, will cause the Page to freeze. I have tested this behaviour in Firefox 73.0.1 and Chrome.

I have found no errors in the error.log so I don’t think this is a php Issue.
I have since uninstalled all custom plugins to no effect.

Do you have any hints on how to find the error?
Thanks!

Hi @KBodarwe,

See Issues · pkp/pkp-lib · GitHub we’ll be releasing a new build later this week that will include the fix.
