Most e-mail apps have an option to get a “confirmation receipt”, with a response that the recipient has opened our e-mail.
Is it possible to implement this for OxS?
I tried searching for this in the forum, but nothing similar came up.

My understanding of those standards (e.g. RFC 3798 - Message Disposition Notification) is that implementing the receipt of such notifications in OJS would require OJS to be able to receive emails (or access an email box to parse received emails). While that might be desirable in the future for other functionality, it’s too big a leap just for the implementation of read receipts.
