ORCID plugin for journals that don't use OJS to publish

Describe the issue or problem
Apologies if this isn’t the right place for this query, but one of our journals would like to connect OJS to ORCID so that reviewers can have their review metadata imported into their ORCID accounts. However, they don’t use OJS to publish, only to facilitate the submissions and peer review workflow. Would metadata still be pushed through to ORCID with this setup? What about article metadata (or does that solely rely on the article being published?). The ORCID plugin guide hasn’t shed light on this query, so I’m hoping someone here can help me!

What application are you using?
OJS 3.4.0.7

Hi @rebeccauoe,

Thanks for your post. That’s an interesting use case. I suspect that ORCID would not pickup on records that are not published using OJS, because I believe that ORCID needs that to be published in order to harvest the metadata, and thus be able to incorporate it as part of an ORCID record. @Dulip_Withanage - would you say that this is the case?
