We are currently in the process of upgrading to the OMP 3.5 and I was testing the ORCiD functionality to ask for a members’ production API key.
The connection of an author via the sandbox works well, like in OJS, and when I tried to publish a book, the publication page in OMP will reveal the ORCiD link of the author. But, although the sandbox key is authorized to write in the ORCiD profile of the author, the sandbox account did not reveal the metadata of a new published book. Has anyone tried the new functionality in OMP?
Steps to reproduce in a test instance of OMP:
- Create a sandbox account in ORCiD (mailinator address)
- Invite the user with the email address, or the orcid, to the role of author
- Connect the ORCiD account by clicking the button in the email sent to the user and register the user in OMP
- The user submits a manuscript in OMP
- The editors accept the manuscript and publish it
- Verify if the metadata of the manuscript reaches the ORCiD profile of the user
