I’m with Editorial SADAF, a publishing house from Argentina specializing in Philosophy that recently re-launched its collection, turning open-access and making publicly available all its non-coedited volumes.
As a part of the Editorial Team, I’ve been managing the data entry for the previously and recently published volumes, and since we’ve updated this month to OMP 3.5 from OMP 3.2, we’ve encountered some issues that I couldn’t find troubleshooting for in the forums—so, please, excuse me if there already are some out there.
In particular, with OMP 3.2, I was able to manually enter the ORCID information for authors of previously published volumes (which, by chronological reasons, haven’t been registered as OMP users). Now, with OMP 3.5, it is impossible to keep entering such information while doing data entry for other backloged publications.
I’ve seen that PKP is incentivizing that only verified ORCIDs are associated with published items, but I seem to be unable to find a way to even do this, let alone fill in an author’s ORCID information, while working within OMP as an editorial administrator. For what it’s worth, we’re not an ORCID member organization, or even part of a consortia having ORCID organizational credentials.
Is there any workaround? Thanks very much in advance to PKP and the community forum for your help!
