OMP 3 and the catalog field Public URL identifier

Hello,

I am using OMP 3, just recently, and I am wondering what is the purpose of the field “Public URL identifier” in the catalog entry - identifiers. Can someone please explain it to me a bit?

Hi @primozs,

This allows you to enter something that’ll appear in the catalog instead of the OMP internal “submission_id” identifier. If you want to assign something more meaningful, enter it here (but in order to avoid confusing OMP, don’t use anything that’s purely numeric).
