[OJS3] Default email "You have been asked to create an index for..."

Hi everyone,

We’re running OJS 3.1.1.4.

A production editor received this automatically generated email from the journal’s editor:

** You have been asked to create an index for “ARTICLE TITLE”. **

This email is not in the email templates, nor does it appear in the article’s the editorial history.

I could only find reference to it in the locales code, as found here: https://github.com/pkp/pkp-lib/blob/master/locale/en_US/submission.xml

Does anyone have any insight on what it is, and how to turn it off?

Hi @rebeccauoe,
No, I don’t think heard back… According to my email archives, our best guess was that it was a hangover from previous versions of OJS that was never cleaned out. To the editor, we recommended “no action required,” and no one else ever reported this again. We’ve since upgraded beyond from this version of OJS.
