[OJS3.2.1.1 and newer] Disk space consumption: article submission files backup strategies?

Hi all,

I hope someone can help us with the following question we are facing:

On one of our OJS installations we are running into disk space problems, because the journal has articles with large photo and graphical material. It grows very rapid from month to month.
Since our journal is hosted on a hosting provider, we do not have unlimited disk space.

Is there, e.g., an “workflow archive” plugin, which downloads all workflow files of a specific submission by preserving everything of the workflow except the submission files and gives the opportunity to delete all submission files in OJS after the download is completed?

Or does anyone has a strategy to cope with such a scenario? How do you deal with rapidly disk space consuming OJS installations?

Thanks for your help
Tobias
