OJS problem relating to revision process

An editor of one of our journals reported the following issue. I tried recreating it in a dev server, and it appears to be doing the same thing. Could someone with more OJS knowledge review his concerns and let me know if this is indeed a bug in the software? I have 2 screenshots but I can’t attach them to this post (?) Thank you. (Tamara)

OJS 3.3.0.7

OJS issue relating to revision process:

  • The author receives the email for request for revision, and after logging into the journal account, the author can see the message on the Submission page saying: “The submission must be resubmitted for another review round.” By clicking on the “view” button the new page is opened, and a pop-up window shows the message “You don’t currently have access to that stage of the workflow.

(I have a screenshot but I can’t attach it) filename: 1_author_revision

  • By clicking OK, three new pop-up says “undefined”, “You don’t currently have access to that stage of the workflow.”, and “undefined”.

  • Then the page remains as shown in the above figure. By clicking on the “[ESR] Editor Decision”, a message similar to what author received in the email shows up.

  • There are two “loading” messages at the bottom left of the page just above the “Review Discussions” which keeps loading…loading… no resolution

  • In “Review Discussions”, there is no options active for the author to add discussion.

  • At the top right of the page, there is option for “Upload File”, but by clicking it, a new pop-up window show massage “You don’t currently have access to that stage of the workflow.”

(I have a screenshot but I can’t attach it) filename: 2_author_revision

  • There is another button at the top right of the page named “Library”. By clicking this button, the author is able to add file to Document Library, but there is no activity log for this from the Editor view.
