We are about to configure the ORCID plugin for one of our journal and I noticed that, when configuring emails to author in the plugin configuration page, the email is sent when the article is accepted for publication and send to the Revision stage in OJS.
If the author follow the ORCID-OJS process from the email he/she receives, is the article data sent to his/her ORCID profile at the same time or is it sent later in the process (article sent to production, or plan or published)?
I am not sure that sending the article data when the article is accepted is the best moment given that metadata are reviewed and corrected in OJS usualy during Revision and Production stages.
Maybe the moment to send the article data should be an independant configuration? What do you think?

For the member-api the orcid.org profile updates are only sent only when the publication is published.
If there is a correction in the metadata, the article has to be unpublished and re-published and the profiles get refreshed at that moment.
