OJS Indexing Question

The journal has 12 issues. We are following publish-as-you-go model.
For example, Volume-1, April month issue is published on 03-04-2023 with its first article. Later continued to publish till 15-5-2023 in the April issue only. In the PDF version, we have included volume 1, issue 4, April 2023. However, the citation plugin shows volume 1, issue 4, April 2023 for all the articles published on or before 30-4-2023. However, articles published from 01-05-2023 shows the citation as volume 1, issue 4, May 2023, but still the pdf version has volume 1, issue 4, April 2023.

Does this impact google scholar indexing. The reason for this question is, all our articles were indexed in google scholar earlier to this. Can that be a reason? If not, we will start work out other possible reasons.

Thank You

Hi @Psek,

What version of OJS are you using (e.g. 3.3.0-14)? This is possibly resolved in later versions, but your situation might be unique.

Hello,

I am using OJS Version 3.3.0-13.

If I upgrade to latest version, will the above problem be solved.

Or any other reason or solution?

Thank you

Hi @Psek,

I’m not sure, the issue that I thought was impacting this was should be fixed in OJS 3.3.0-13: Article publication date should be updated on issue publication · Issue #5392 · pkp/pkp-lib · GitHub, but your situation might be different. I’ll see if someone else on our team can assist.
