OJS Crossref Reference Linking plugin - workflow question

Hi, I’m using the Crossref Reference Linking plugin in 3.1x and I’m uncertain about whether a step is required in workflow. Here’s what we’re doing but I suspect step 4 is superfluous. Can anyone confirm or deny?

  1. Add references to article metadata, hit Save and Extract References
  2. In Crossref XML Export Plugin, Deposit article to submit references
  3. Go back to reference list in article metadata and hit Check Crossref DOIs
  4. Go back to Crossref XML Export Plugin, re-Deposit article.

I can’t remember where I got the impression that I needed to do step 4 so I’m loathe to not do it.

Hi @tmrozewski did you find your article citations? I am also looking for this. If yes then please confirm me as well.

I’m not sure what you mean. I could always find the citations. If you can rephrase the question, I might be able to help you.

Concerning my original post, I’ve determined that step 4 (re-depositing the articles in the CrossRef plugin) is not required.
