OJS 32: Can the author choose the license when submitting the article?

Hi,

We are using OJS 3.2.1.3.

We have questions on the working and the choice of the license by the author.

In the backend, via the Settings and then Distribution menu, the Manager can set who holds the license and the license type.

It seems once the license type choosen, it will be the same by default for all articles, is it right ?

If the Manager choose that author holds the license, is it possible for the author to choose the type of license when submitting the article, in the Step 1 at start for example?

Otherwise, is there a way author can choose the license for the article submitted?

No, this is not possible at this time. It would be a nice option to have.

For the OPS (Preprints), this option is also very much required. Authors should have the freedom to choose the licenses for their mansucripts. Any effort in this regard would be great.

PKP is planting to have the software tweaked in this regard? Please make it possible.
