the README of the plugins/generic/usageStats points to installing the GeoLiteCity.dat file from Maxmind. However, this option is outdated, as
https://dev.maxmind.com/geoip/geoip2/geolite2/
states: “GeoLite Legacy databases were discontinued on January 2, 2019”.
There is a new GeoLite2 database in a binary mmdb format which can’t be used with the present code in plugins/generic/usageStats, and there is also API code that needs to be implemented: MaxMind GeoIP2 PHP API
Are there any plans by PKP (@bozana, @asmecher) to update the usageStats code?
