I’m not entirely sure about this, but to solve that “default.groups.name.author” and etc, and after trying like you to change it in the locale files without success, I had to manually edit/write the roles in OJS.
In Users&Roles → Roles, edit each role name to, in your case, Spanish version. After that no more problems. I’ve read about this somewhere in the forum (sorry for not displaying link) and that solved it.
