[OJS 3] Automatically assigning editors

alexxxmendonca, How were you able to configure OJS 3 to automatically assign an editor?

The only ways to do that that I am seeing are: have only one person on the journal with the editor role, or have only one section editor for that section.

Is there any other way to automatically assign an editor to a new submission?

@randtke hello!

We don’t really use that functionality of automatically assigning Section Editors to new papers. But as far as I’m aware this has not changed in OJS 3.x. It still works the same way as OJS 2.x, which is basically you have to associate the Section Editor to a given Section.

Isn’t it still like that?
