OJS 3.3
Our site is bilingual (English and Ukrainian).
There is interest in using the “How to Cite” module, but we noticed an error.
If you set the display language to English, then
in the “How to Cite” section, the Ukrainian language of the site is mistakenly selected for the “given name” field of the author. As can be seen in the illustration, the given name of the authors on the left side of the page is provided without an error, but in all citation formats in English, the given name of each author is included in the second language of the site.
This error is equally manifested for all authors of the same article.
If the second language uses the Latin alphabet (for example, Turkish), then such an error goes unnoticed in most cases.
The Ukrainian language uses the Cyrillic alphabet, so it is very noticeable when “foreign” letters appear in the names of authors written in English (some letters coincide in spelling, but mean different things, such as “Р” (cyrillic) = “R” (lat), “П” (cyrillic) = “P” (lat) and others).
I would like the authors to check the use of the same language when forming the names of the authors.
