[OJS 3.4.0.8] DB update problem on step change of an article

Hi to all, we upgraded our OJS from version 3.3.0.x to 3.4.0.8 and we noticed that in the editorial flow of an article, when you have to switch from one step to another, for example, from “submission” to “review,” or, from “review” to “copyediting,” the system proceeds correctly but in the DB it does not change the value in the “stage_id” field in the “submissions” table. this results in not displaying the correct step in the processing part of an article and editors cannot know whether a job proceeds to the next step or not. Can you check this, can I provide some information to help you solve this problem?

Hi @asmecher , We are doing some research to find out where these shortcomings might come from, because this bug is not on all of our magazines that it shows up but on the ones that are a bit old. If we find anything that can be shown I will write again.
