Describe the issue or problem
Since we updated to version 3.4.0.5 I am running into the following problem.
The system assigns a DOI automatically to all items, even though we have items that do not require a DOI (literature review, cover, summaries, etc.).
In the past, I could decide manually to “assign DOI” in the publication section of each submission. At the moment, no tab exists for assigning a DOI (or not) to specific submissions.
Steps I took leading up to the issue
I checked the DOI settings, which are as such:
- TICKED:
Allow Digital Object Identifiers (DOIs) to be assigned to work published in this journal. - Items with DOIs: Articles
- Automatic DOI Assignment: Upon publication
- Custom pattern
- It is connected to CrossRef so that we can make the DOI deposit from OJS
