Describe the issue or problem
In 2014 we had a database loss due to improper upgrade execution. The only available data was from a previous OJS 2.x install which had database inconsistencies. The solution at the time was to export user and published issues and import that data into a clean OJS installation.
Since then, we have been willing to update article data from past issues, especially those with image PDFs, that were scanned as images because OCR didn’t work correctly.
Now, we are unable to access the editorial workflow of these past issues (from 1972 to 2014).
Please tell us what happens and what you expected to happen.
We expected to be able to assign an editor and be able to update the metadata and PDF files, but we receive the infamous “You don’t currently have access to that stage of the workflow”.
Steps I took leading up to the issue
- Entered the issues list as editor (I’m also sysadmin, general manager etc.)
- Click on the Table of Contents
- Click on the Submission link
- Page displaying error You don’t currently have access to that stage of the workflow.
What application are you using?
For example, OJS 3.3.0-14
