Hello,
I had installed OJS 2.4.0 on a server. When I give the administrator details to login that
I had given while installing, I’m being redirected to same page with the URL
“http://domain_name/ojs-2.4.0/index.php/index/login?source=%2Fojs-2.4.0%2Findex.php%2Findex%2Fuser”.
Please let me know if I did not configure properly or Please let me know how to
resolve the issue.
Is there any reason you’re using OJS 2.4.0, and not a more recent release? If this is a fresh installation it’s definitely better to use the latest stable release.
The problem you’re encountering may be related to cookies. I would suggest changing the session_cookie_name in your config.inc.php configuration file to something different (anything will do) in order to prevent past cookies from interfering in case e.g. you’ve moved your install to a different path.

Hi @asmecher,
I had installed OJS 2.4.7-1 and facing the same issue. Tried by changing the cookie value which does not resolve the issue. Is there is any other configuration settings I need to do?
If this installation is publicly available and open for registration, can you PM me a URL to the install? I can try a registration and login for myself.

It looks like you haven’t created a journal yet – which makes sense if you’re not able to log in as administrator. Alternately, could you PM me your admin credentials? (Feel free to create an installation that uses temporary credentials.)
