do any of you deposit content from OJS 3 to OCLC WorldCat? The basic requirement is that the site is “OAI-PMH compliant”. Any experience from others will be valuable.

Have you then managed to submit content from OJS3? How did you solve this?

So it means that the journal submissions must be done by member libraries, and not by journal themselves? Am I right?

Not sure we have the same scenario (we only publish open access journals) but this is the link where I started form. OA journals can register their contents and enable crawling:
OCLC has a self- service portal for providers to upload open access content to WorldCat.

I had some issues with understanding the OAI-PMH compliant part but obviously found the correct path, as crawling is in place. Let me know how you get on.

non so se il nostro scenario è il medesimo (no abbiamo solo testate open access), ma ti giro il link da cui io sono partita. Per le testate open access c’è la possibilità di registrare i contenuti che poi vengono “crawled” sistematicamente ad una scadenza che decidi tu:

Anch’io ho avuto qualche difficoltà a capire come muovermi (non mi era chiaro che indirizzo fornire al repository) poi però ho trovato il sistema corretto e vedo che i contenuti sono registrati. Se hai problemi (ma se ce l’ho fatta io ce la fai anche tu…
) possiamo sentirci.

grazie mille davvero per la tua risposta cortese! Se ho capito bene, tuttavia, dev’essere una istituzione o organizzazione a registrarsi come tale e a fare la richiesta… In questo potrei chiedere all’Università della rivista di registrarsi su OCLC.
Io non conoscevo About Science, ora mi sono informato al riguardo: molto bello! Tra l’altro, io sono di Milano, ma abito a Torino dove sto finendo il mio dottorato in Lettere (Storia del teatro). Come vedi, mi occupo anche di riviste (in passato ho lavorato per diverse case editrici).
Allora, grazie mille davvero. Volevo anche dirti che per l’upgrade alla 3.2 ho pensato di aspettare qualche giorno ancora, per la prossima distribuzione minore (sono emersi diversi bug, e Alec ha annunciato che sarà presto rilasciata una nuova versione).
Mi farebbe molto piacere sentirci, in ogni caso! Pensi che potremmo organizzare una chiamata o videoconferenza, in questi giorni di quarantena?
